'Salut, ma petite Laika'

This is Laika and Cher Ami; two of my favorite favorite animals.

Cher Ami was a bird who saved 200(194 to be exact) men in WW1, she died in her sleep in 1919.

Laika was a russian stray that was picked up and sent to orbit; being the first animal to exit the atmosphere. Sadly, she died on the flight due to low oxygen in 1957

This is what I believe is what happened after the death of Laika.

The last thing Laika remembered was seeing many stars glowing as her nose and heart stopped, leaving her lifeless in the air. Soon, Laika woke up somewhere she never seen; it resembled a forest,but much more. it smelled of dust and cold stones. She looked around to see the ship was gone. Her life on earth was over. She then noticed a small glow near by. She looked to her left and said with a thick Russian accent,"Vou are jou?".

The light went pale as a simple pigeon sat near her. The pigeon's eye, chest and leg was severly injured and her feathers shown like stars. The bird lifted her head high and said,"Salute, Mon petite Laika. You have no need of fear for you have come to your birthplace; The heavens." She smiled brightly and said with a pretty chirp,"You are ze first animal to fly higher than my kind , Now you shall lead them farther~"And with that, Cher Ami and Laika wandered deeper into the stone forest, watching over every flier, born or made.
